Amazon founder Jeff Bezos Visits Taj Mahal Along With Girlfriend

New Delhi: Amazon founder and CEO Jeff Bezos visited the Taj Mahal in Agra, Uttar Pradesh, during his excursion to India. Mr. Bezos, 56, was joined by his better half, Lauren Sanchez, during his voyage through the famous Mughal-period landmark.

The two were seen presenting before the deep pool that prompts the Taj Mahal. Numerous VIPs and world pioneers have posed at a similar spot, including Prince William and Kate. 

While Mr. Bezos picked a straightforward suit for the visit, Lauren Sanchez wore an orange and white dress. Photos that are as a rule broadly shared online show Mr. Bezos and Ms. Sanchez grinning for the cameras with the 338-year-old white marble landmark out of sight.

 

The American billionaire had earlier unveiled a fleet of electric-powered delivery rickshaws. The move came as part of Amazon's global Climate Pledge, announced in September last year.

In posts shared on Instagram and Twitter early on Monday morning, Mr. Bezos announced that the company had started to roll out its fleet of electric delivery rickshaws. "Fully electric. Zero carbon," he wrote, sharing a video that shows him driving one such electric rickshaw.


Mr. Bezos started his excursion to India last Tuesday by visiting the memorial to Mahatma Gandhi in Delhi. During his three-day trip, he additionally flew kites with a gathering of youngsters, visited an Amazon 'Quiet Delivery Station' in Mumbai and plunked down with Shah Rukh Khan and Zoya Akhtar for a forty-minute talk.
