DU Admission 2018: What To Do After You Have Filled The Admission Form

New Delhi: After completing the long and hectic process of admissions, this is what you should do:

1. Explore More: 

After you have completed the admission process and their is time till cut offs lists are out. You should begin exploring all potential colleges immediately. You should invest your time in research. Start by preparing a clear list of which colleges you prefer to save time and avoid making hasty decisions.

2. Required Documents:

This is one of the most important task, often done at the last minute. To save yourself from a jiffy decision, get all the documents photocopied and compile them in a folder. The list of the documents needed is as follows:

1. Class X Board Examination Certificate
2. Class X Marks-Sheet (In case it is not combined with Certificate)
3. Class XII Marks-Sheet
4. Class XII Provisional Certificate/Original Certificate
5. Character Certificate (Recent)
6. Transfer Certificate from school/college as well as Migration Certificate from Board/University to be submitted by students who have cleared their senior secondary exam from outside Delhi.
7. Two recent passport size self-attested photographs
8. SC/ST/PwD Certificate (in the candidate’s name) issued by competent authority
9. OBC (non-creamy layer) Certificate (in the candidate’s name) issued by competent authority. Such candidates also need to submit their income proof.
10. Kashmiri Migrant Certificate to be submitted by candidates applying under the Kashmiri Migrant Quota. This certificate should be issued by the Divisional Commissioner/Relief Commissioner.
11. Educational Concession Certificate to be submitted by aspirants applying under the CW quota. Such a certificate should be issued by a competent authority
12. Sports/ECA Distinction certificate of last three years to be listed in descending order


3. Cut-off list:

When the cut-off list are out, list the pro's and con's of your preferances. It will help you prioritize the best choice. If you have decided your college, visit the admission portal of the university, fill in the name of the college and the course you want to apply in. Take a print out of the admission form along with other documents must be taken to the college to get the admission.
