DU Admissions 2018: More Than 43,000 Students Applied Within 24 Hours

New Delhi: On May 15, Delhi University opened the window for registration for various merit-based, entrance-based, NCWEB and other courses in colleges affiliated with it. 

 More than 3 lakh candidates applied last year for more over 50,000 seats available in the university.

June 7 is the last date of registration and the first cut-off list for merit-based courses will be announced on June 19.

An admission official told news agency     PTI, "Since 6 pm yesterday, we have received 43,000 applications and there has been no technical glitches reported from our side."

Registration for Ph.D and M.Phil programmes will begin on May 20. 

St. Stephen's, a religious minority college, follows a different admission process, but the students will first have to register themselves in the DU admission portal along with an admission fee.
