DU Admissions 2018: Top Colleges Reopen Admissions To Popular Courses In Third List

New Delhi: A series of admission withdrawls have resulted in reopening of popular courses in top colleges in the third list, that had closed admissions in the second list. Hindu College is open for English (Hons.) again, this time with a cut-off 96.25%, which is 0.50% lower than the second list. The students with 97% can apply for BA (Hons.) Economics at Ramjas College.

Miranda House also released a third list for economics and English  with a 0.25% drop from scecond list. English (Hons.) at Kirori Mal college is also open at 95%- a 1% dip ffrom previous list.

The cut-off at Lady Shri Ram College For Women remained same as the previous list- 97.25%. Gargi College has also reopened admissions in the third list for general and OBC categories for Honours courses in politicla science, chemistry and zoology.

Shaheed Bhagat Singh College also reopened admissions to BCom Programme, BSc (Hons) Mathematics and BA (Hons) History for general category students.

Jesus and Mary College (JMC) is open for BCom (Hons) at 96.25% — a marginal dip of 0.25% from the second list.

Admissions under the third list will begin from June 30. The reports suggest that more than 26,000 seats were filled in the second list, and admissions for many top colleges were closed. However, 3,203 students withdrew their admissions.

Other top colleges, however, have closed admissions to various courses. Sri Ram College of Commerce has closed its admissions for undergradute courses. Hindu college is also closed for history, political science, sociology and philosophy for the general category. The admissions for BCom Honours and Programming courses at Ramjas also remain closed for unreserved category.

Further, JMC has remained closed for BA Programme and Honours courses in economics, English, political science and mathematics.
