England beats India by 5 wickets to level series 1-1

New Delhi: In a nail bitting last over thriller, Alex Hales' solid unbeaten 58 helped England set the 3 match T20 series level  against India at 1-1 . After facing a defeat in the first game, England won the toss and asked India to bat first, in which the visiting team managed to set the target of 149 run. In the last over, the English side needed 12 runs, and Hales put Bhuvneshwar Kumar out of the Cardiff ground off the first ball and the second for four. After this two easy singles followed, and England registered there 5th consecutive T20 Win at Cardiff.


Batting first, India's witnessed a top order collapse, losing three wickets in the first six overs. India lost Rohit Sharma (5), Shikhar Dhawan (10) and in form KL Rahul (6) in quick succession. After the loss of quick wickets a steady partnership between Kohli and Rain put India in a better position.

The skipper Virat Kohli scored a crucial 47 off 38 balls, along with a quick-fire 32 from MS Dhoni guided India to a par score of 148/5 in 20 overs. In the last over, Dhoni and Pandya added 22 important runs to the total.

David Wiley was the most successful bowler for England picking 1 wicket for 18 runs. Jake Ball made his T20 Debut for England and also picked up one wicket for 44 runs.
