 PM Modi Announced Ayushman Bharat Scheme To Launch On 25th September

New Delhi : While addressing the nation from the ramparts of Red Fort, our Honourable Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced his flagship project, named Ayushman Bharat or National Health Protection Scheme. 

He quoted that Ayushman Bharat scheme  will help many, numbered around ten crore families or 50 crore Indians. This scheme will be launched on 25th september this year, which marks the Deendayal Upadhyaya’s birth anniversary. The scheme titled as The Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Abhiyaan (Ayushman Bharat Scheme). As it was very high time now, poor families demand something to be done for their good and quality lifestyle. So, this scheme provides poor families to get access  to good quality and affordable healthcare. 
"Modicare" is the name dubbed by the ministers and BJP leaders, earlier this year in February during the last full budget of the NDA government by then finance minister Arun Jaitley.

During his quality speech Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised the success of the recntly concluded monsoon session of the Parliament. He said  "The session was one devoted to social justice. The Parliament session witnessed the passage of the bill to create an OBC Commission. Dalits, women and other weak sections of the society have been empowered."

This was Modi's Fifth and last address to the nation on the occasion of Independence day, he began with hoisting the Tricolour and also inspected the Guard of Honour at Red Fort.

Let us tell about this scheme, what is Ayushman Bharat or National Health Protection Scheme?

The ambitious Ayushman Bharat or National Health Protection Scheme aims to cover over 10 crore vulnerable families (approximately 50 crore beneficiaries) and provide health cover up to Rs 5 lakh per family per year. The programme is being touted as the world’s largest health protection scheme. 

The scheme will aim to target over 10 crore families based on SECC (Socio-Economic Caste Census) database.
