TV Actor Kavi Kumar Azad AKA Dr Hathi Passed Away
New Delhi: TV actor Kavi Kumar Azad passed way today afternoon. The actor was best known for his role of Dr Hansraj Hathi in the popular comedy serial Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma died today after suffering a cardiac arrest. 

According to the reports, Azad was unwell and was admitted at Wokhardt Hospital at Mira Road. Azad played the role of Dr Hathi for almost eight years after replacing the actor Nirmal Soni who played the role for an year when the show begined in 2009.

Azad was reportedly suffering from many ailments, including cardiac problem, hypertension and high blood sugar, but he never allowed his health problems to get in the way of his acting.

The shows producer, Asit Kumar Modi told," He was an amazing actor and a very positive person. He truly loved the show and always came for the shoots, even if he was not feeling well."

He further added," He called today morning that he is not well and will not be able to come for shoot. And later we got the news that he passed away. We are all too numb to say anything."

Azad also had a small career in Bollywood during which, he acted in Bollywood movies, Mela (2000) and Fun2shh... Dudes in the 10th Century.
