New Delhi: From Agra, just an hour’s drive away, on the banks of the river Yamuna, the birthplace of Lord Krishna, 'Mathura', is situated. The entire land is dotted with magnificent temples, dedicated to various aspects of his life. The twin cities of Mathura and Vrindavan, where he was born and where he grew up, still resound to the sound of his laughter, antics and his magical flute. Some of the famous temples are Govind Dev Temple, Rangaji Temple, Dwarikadhish Temple, Bankey Bihari Temple and the ISKCON Temple.

Govardhan Hill: The Govardhana Hill is situated near the town of Vrindavan and is among the most important Hindu sites according to Vaishnava traditions. 

Krishna Janma Bhoomi Mandir: The Sri Krishna Janmabhoomi temple is the most important center of pilgrimage in Mathura as it is believed to have been built on the same place where Lord Krishna was born to Devaki and Vasudev. 

Sri Krishna Janmasthan: The Sri Krishna Janmasthan or Keshav Dev Temple is honored as the birthplace of Lord Krishna. The temple is located alongside the main Krishna Janmabhoomi complex. 

Dwarkadhish Temple: The Dwarkadheesh Mandir in Mathura is one of the oldest and largest temples in Mathura. 

Radha Kund: The Radha Kund is a small body of water considered to be the most sacred of all holy places. It is associated with a popular fable related to Lord Krishna and Radha.

Jama Masjid: The Jama Masjid of Mathura was built by Aurangzeb at the site of the ancient Sri Krishna Janmabhoomi temple.

Government Museum Mathura: The Government Museum of Mathura is home to numerous artifacts, sculptures, paintings, and coins primarily sourced from Mathura and its vicinity, plus discoveries made by noted archaeologists.
